SRLA 2020-2021

SRLA (Students Run Los Angeles) is a marathon team. Niguel Hills Middle School is one of the few middle schools in the district to participate in the Students Run LA Marathon Program and is now in its 17th year. The team consists of  7th and 8th grade students from Niguel Hills as well as local high school students who join us on the weekends. Coaches include teachers, parents, and other running enthusiasts from the community. The team is sponsored by corporations under the SRLA organization.

The main goal or objective of SRLA is to help students work hard to set long-term goals, help with character development, and discipline.  By completing these goals, students can achieve great accomplishments, such as completing the LA Marathon.  Students train together for over six months to prepare for the marathon, and experience the benefits of improved health. The program instills discipline, determination and a sense of pride in those runners who accomplish their goals. 100% of the Niguel Hills students who trained properly completed the LA Marathon with a strong sense of accomplishment.

We run every Saturday 7 AM - when we finish the miles.
We would love parents and siblings to run or walk with us.
We had several families complete this program, together.
