NIGUEL HILLS MIDDLE SCHOOL

Choir is made up of singers from all different musical levels, from Beginner to Advanced. This is a performance-based class where students will learn to read music, how to sing, build vocal techniques, and learn how to sing a wide variety of music. Students will be able to learn how to sing in an ensemble or build confidence and learn to sing as a solo vocalist. Students have the opportunity to perform in major school concerts during the year, perform for the community, join the district Honor Choir and perform at a professional concert hall, caroling during the holidays, and participate in festivals hosted by amusement parks. Choir is a great way to meet people, make friends, and create new experiences most middle school students don't have the opportunity to experience.

This is an introductory class to music. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. Learn how music was first written, how to read and write basic music, and different styles of music.
