EXPLORING ART

Exploring Art is an introduction course for 6th grade students and perfect for those with little to no drawing experience. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of media, including drawing, painting, collage, and illustration. This class will give 6th graders the fundamentals on how to approach art and give them the tools and skills needed to learn how to showcase their own creative ideas.

ART

Art is a course on the fundamentals of art, which will cover a wide variety of techniques and projects. This includes drawing, charcoal, watercolor, painting, graphic design, ink, mixed media, color theory, printmaking, and a brief exploration of sculpture and design. Within these projects, students will gain an understanding of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. Student work may be displayed at various venues on and off-campus and will have opportunities to participate in art competitions. 
ADVANCED ART

ADVANCED ART

This advanced art class is a course that continues a student's education in the fundamentals of art. Experiences in drawing,  painting, printmaking, jewelry, and ceramics will progress students into more elaborate projects. Students will also work within themed settings, including studies on portraiture, animals, and landscapes. Students in this class will have a chance to participate in art shows and will learn how to display their work in a gallery setting.
